We are looking for an experienced Craftsman with engineering ambitions

We are a mechanical engineering company that was founded with a passion for developing and building machinery and industrial structures. We currently have 13 employees and also have a network of skilled subcontractors with whom we work closely. Our customers are Norwegian industrial companies with international operations, including aluminium, aquaculture, oil and gas and renewable energy.

Your role

We seek experienced craftsmen who share our enthusiasm for seeing ideas become reality. At Northwest, it's a short way from the desk and on out on production follow-up, inspection, testing and installation. You will manage projects with partners and suppliers in multiple countries, work with clients operating internationally, and gain opportunities to travel abroad. We are looking for someone who has relevant industry experience, who is learnable, curious and who wants to challenge themselves in new ways.

Work assignments

• Develop solutions and concepts in close dialogue with our customers to solve their needs
• Develop 3D models and 2D construction substrates for a wide range of mechanical structures
• Construction work
• Work with our subcontractors on fabrication to ensure that projects are built and delivered according to drawing
• Follow up fabrication and assembly to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Coordinate delivery and installation at customer

Qualifications

• Professional certificate and/or at least 5 years of relevant experience from industry or other relevant industry
• Experience that proves that you are willing to learn, take responsibility and challenge yourself
• Ability to understand complex issues and find creative and practical solutions
• A genuine desire to learn more about engineering, ability and willingness to step into a position where you learn from others and take responsibility for your own learning
• Ability to work in a structured and efficient manner under pressure
