We are a mechanical engineering company that was founded with a passion for developing and building machinery and industrial structures. We currently have 13 employees and also have a network of skilled subcontractors with whom we work closely. Our customers are Norwegian industrial companies with international operations, including aluminium, aquaculture, oil and gas and renewable energy.

Your role

We are looking for engineers who share our interest in machinery and industrial structures, and who enjoy working both theoretically and practically. As an engineer in Northwest, you have a varied working day, with projects ranging from the idea phase all the way through to the finished solution delivered to the customer. You will work on finding good solutions, drawing up drawings and construction bases and following up production with our subcontractors.

Work assignments

  • Develop solutions and concepts in close dialogue with our customers to solve their needs
  • Develop 3D models and 2D construction substrates for a wide range of mechanical structures
  • Carrying out construction work, product and concept development
  • Perform strength calculations and construction analysis
  • Work with our subcontractors on fabrication to ensure that projects are built and delivered according to drawing
  • Follow up fabrication and assembly to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate delivery and installation at customer

Qualifications

  • Engineering education in machinery or mechanics with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a structured and independent manner
  • Concerned with quality and taking responsibility for own deliveries
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Professional certificate or relevant practical work experience is an advantage
