We are a mechanical engineering company that was founded with a passion for developing and building machinery and industrial structures. We currently have 13 employees and also have a network of skilled subcontractors with whom we work closely. Our customers are Norwegian industrial companies with international operations, including aluminium, aquaculture, oil and gas and renewable energy.

Your role

We are in strong growth and are searching for a leader for our engineering team. We are currently a team of 8 engineers and also have a subcontractor of engineering services. You will lead this team and have overall responsibility for our engineering work. This is a central role in our company, you will be part of the management team and be involved in the strategic development of the company.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the engineering work of the company
• Responsible for keeping track of all ongoing and planned projects, monitoring progress according to project plans and keeping an ongoing overview of available and utilized capacity in the engineering team
• Develop and improve procedures, practices and standards for engineering
• Quality assurance of the engineering professional work in the projects
• Personnel responsibility for the engineering team and responsibility for ensuring development and competence development for employees
• Participate in the management team and the planning, operation and development of the company

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in machinery/mechanics education with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in relevant industries (industry, maritime sector, oil and gas, etc.)
• Experience from previous management roles and/or extensive project management experience
• Ability to work in a goal-oriented, structured and independent manner
• Ability to identify and solve challenges on an ongoing basis
• Experience in human resources management is an advantage
